Dramatik has had releases on Tonka, Spin Hard, Definition, Renewable Energy and soon to be StereoDays with many more in the pipeline!
Now with out any further ado, Dramatik

Welcome Dramatik, you are no stranger to us here with tracks like Fuck The Prom Queen and Party Animal and soon to be released remix of Do It Live. For those who do not know, where are you from and what is the scene like out there?
Born n' bred in small city called Adelaide, I love living here we have great beaches and a very relaxed laidback lifestyle. Unfortunately the Hard House scene here is not as cranking as it used to be, we do have our big nights but generally when internationals come over, it seems hardcore is a lot more popular amongst the kids these days.
Do you remember your first rave and if so what was it?
Yea the first one would have been an outdoor rave we regularly had in Adelaide called Enchanted Forest, it was an amazing vibe back then and really blew me away! Unfortunately Enchanted parties are not running anymore these days its all these damn Electro festivals taking the numbers!
Why hard house over other genres in the scene?
There something about Hard House& NRG that I just can’t get enough of! I also love my Freeform & Hard Psy-Trance but Hard House is definitely where its at for me at the moment!
Who or what have been your influences over the years?
When I first got into the Hard House artists like Tinrib, Karim, Defective Audio, RR Fierce and definitely Casper got me well hooked initially. In more recent years bad boy locals like Grady G & Narc have been a major influence, especially Narc’s deep basslines!

What came first for you DJing or production?
DJing, I still mix out at parties but I’d definitely call myself more of producer these days. The first time I heard one of my tracks played out in a club n saw the whole place go off was the best feeling and still is!
When was your first gig and how did it go?
My first gig was in Adelaide at an ‘up & coming djs’ night, played a okay set but it was on cold & rainy Thursday night and I remember the club being pretty empty haha.. I think my girlfriend at the time was the only one dancing!
What tracks have been making their rounds into your cd wallet?
Recent favorites that I’m still playing would be Anger Management, also Owens & D.F.O –Cannonball, Dirty Trick(Tom Parr & Dan Dyson Remix), Ferkin Merkin (great warm up tune) Weazal’s Reality Check and most of Valex’s stuff (that guy coming out with great trax!)

When can people see you play out next?
Next gig on the cards is a local party Ali Beach and Adium are putting on called ‘Sound Infection’ which Narc has come out of hiding to play at, can’t wait to hear his new stuff! Should be a corker as most of the night will be Hard House and then Freeform towards the end if the night. We have heard you use a couple programs to create tracks, which ones are they and why more then one?
Yep that’s right I use Ableton Live and Reason 3.0 to make my tracks, I’ve always used Reason for my older tracks but unfortunately Reason can’t use VSTs so I send the audio from Reason into an Ableton channel so I can use both programs. I would say my track productions are definitely a lot cleaner since I started with Ableton Live
Can you give the gear-heads a run down of your studio?
Sure I use a couple of B2030 6”Behringer Truths, PCR Edirol midi keyboard with an apogee duet soundcard that runs a treat with the Mac, oh and of course Ableton with Reason rewired.
You have had releases on Tonka, Spin Hard, Definition, Renewable Energy, and of course The Beat Ranch, what should people look out for in the next few months?
Got a lot on my plate lately, in the next few months I have a couple thumpin tracks coming out on Stereodays (featured in the mix) also going to be working on some tracks for local labels Volatile and Friction Records(tech-trance). I go under another hard house/hard trance alias ‘Mass Destruktion’ with local Adelaide producer Dexitron, we have put together some tracks & we plan to release them in an album in the future so look out for that!
Really excited about working a 6 track Dramatik EP for The Beat Ranch which will feature my Do It Live Remix! Not only that im working on a Hard House track for a new label Bomber Traxx and finally finishing off a remix of ‘The Machine’ on Hardhitting Digital so yeah gonna be a bloody big year I reckon.

If you were on a desert island and you could only bring one album, one food and one drink what would they be?
The ultimate question… hmm music wise is the hardest but I guess I’d bring RAM-killerbyte album (hardpsy) can listen to that stuff constantly. Fuck water I'd just have a bottle of jacks and chicken shnitty thanks!
When you are not DJing or producing what do you do for fun?
Seems like I’m always doing one of those two but when I’m not I enjoy kickin the soccerball around orgo surfing down the coast.
Any last words or shout outs?
Ain’t no party like a Hard House party!
