To finish off June's interviews, we have the legandary Carl Nicholson with us. Carl's style of uplifting and euphoric hard dance has seen him have releases on some of the scene's biggest labels, including Nukleuz, Tidy, Fevah, Elasticman and Global Panic.
Most recently Carl has set up a new digital label called Presence with will include a varity of different genres, including, Hard Dance, Psy-Trance, Hard House/Bounce, Hard Funk, Electro and Hard Trance.
Without futher ado the one and only Carl Nicholson.

Thanks Carl for taking time out of your busy scedule to do this
Not a problem.
For those who do not know, where abouts are you from?
I come from a town just outside of London called Bracknell in UK.
How is the scene out there at the moment? What are some of the sounds taking over the speakers?
ATM, it seems Psytrance is doing well, also Scott Fo Shaw's kinda track which we have labeled Hard Funk.
You have been around the scene for 13 years, what has made you stay with it as long as you have?
The People and the music, we are an awesome breed of human us clubbers, open minded, friendly and passionate.
Who or what has been an influence to your career?
Tony De Vit, the man was and still is THE dance music god! Very sorely missed!

How long have you been producing?
Ermm about 8 years now!
What are some of the hardware/software that you use? What hardware/software could you not live without?
Cubase SX, Nexus, Virus, Trilogy and Atomsphere i would not be able to live without full stop!
What advice would you give to someone who is new to producing?
I would say look outside of the box, dont paint by numbers as we could all do that! The scene needs to evolve and it wont unless the music does as well!
You have had releases on such labels as Fevah, Tidy, Nukluez, Elasticman and Global Panic to name just a few. What was it like when you had your first release?
Amazing! Having your very own piece of wax with ur name on it! Theres no better feeling! (Apart from hearing it played in a club!lol)
Do you have any new tracks in the pipeline?
Loads n loads mate! My main new ones are my EP out on Traffic soon and also 'Classic' on Elasticman! I have about 20 others comin also! lol

You have recently started up Presence Recordings, what are some of the things we can expect from it?
Well expect pure passionate driving quality music from all 6 of the genres! The boys have done well, we have 31 tracks in our first wave of releases.
With Presence being a digital label, do you have any plans to produce some tracks on vinyl?
To be honest, not really, Vinyl's day has been and gone i think! Its too expensive, too heavy and too easily damaged, Digital, if u scratch ya cd, just burn off another and its so much cheaper to buy!
You have recently been made one of Fevah's resident DJs. How did that come about?
I have been involved with Fevah for nearly 10 years and it is about to be re-launched in UK in a monumental fashion, Fevah held the principles that i hold dear to my heart and always have, so we decided why not join forces and i was informed only a few weeks back that i am the main UK resident of which i am very proud and honoured that they chose me!
When can people see you play out next?
I'm next playing tonight at Heaven for Innovate, cant wait!
Thanks again for your time, any last words?
Keep the faith my friends, and watch this space!
