She started out playing all different styles of music, during a weekly online show, but she always knew that her UK roots would one day come shinning through. Today you can find her behind the decks spinning up a storm, UK Hardhouse, Nu NRG and Hard Trance style! She has played everywhere from Montreal to Calgary, as well as in parts of the US. Sharing the decks with such top name DJs as Madame Zu, Chris Liberator, Aaron Liberator, Illogic, Frankie Bones and Hatiras - just to name a few. Her influences are the many DJs that keep it real in Toronto and in the International underground scene. She also looks up to people like BK, Paul Glazby, Nick Sentience, Madame Zu and Lisa Lashes who are in a place, that Lady Bass will hopefully be one day... spinning her sounds to the ear drums of the world. She has several rave company residencies, has held down various club night residencies, has already headlined several events in Canada and the US and has spun at numerous parties in and around the Toronto area, as well as on countless radio shows including her own. Lady Bass also played as part of the Vans Warp Tour in 2003 and 2004. She is very influenced by the style of Toronto's own DJ Viper, a Happy Hardcore and Jungle DJ who taught Lady Bass a lot about DJing. He is also her DJing partner spinning back2back at several events over the past 4 years. Lady Bass, a member of the CHILLS DJ Hit Squad also runs a rave and promotions company called Skratch-n-Sniff. Their slogan is Small flyer, big vibe--a vibe that was felt throughout the entire party, when Skratch-n-Sniff held their first event, called Mix&Match, on May 5th, 2001. Aside from DJing, Lady Bass holds down a career in the music industry where she previously ran her own music licensing business and now works as Manager of Internet Marketing for KOCH Entertainment Canada. She has also worked for several major and independent record labels. Lady Bass has also worked as a newspaper and broadcast entertainment journalist interviewing some of the world's top musical talent. Lady Bass has also had a successful career in electronic music radio. After getting her start on the internet airwaves of Woofur.com, she then moved to The Global Groove Networks and then on to 89.5FM. When the over-night airwaves of the station switched formats, she then moved to Club246.com where she hosted a weekly show called "Skratchworld.com Radio" that promoted UK Hard House, Hard Trance and Nu NRG, as well as various genres of electronic music from the Toronto area and internationally. She also had a show on 100.7Fm in Toronto 97.3FM in Ottawa Future Plans:Release a mixed CD for retail sale, get an online (and hopefully on-air) weekly radio show, work more on production, re-vamp and re-launch my web-site, expand music styles to include other types of music, work on getting some more residencies, go on a European and Australian tour, continue to grow and expand my career in the music industry, work on getting more press and publicity.
